All Things Music
Hello everyone.
I’m sure you’re all anxious to see a schedule appear here so that you can start making your plans. I can assure you that I’m probably more anxious even than you. We just need to get some confirmations on the availability of all our venue areas, the confirmation of a few more artists, as well as the sorting out of the traveling requirements of several dozen people. Finally after all of that we will be able to post a draft schedule.
Confirmed Artists
Just to tide you over, here is a short list of a few of the confirmed artists:
-Murder Mouse Blues Band Australia, Voted #1 Roots Band on the Continent. Featured in November Rolling Stones Magazine. Murder Mouse will be doing only one show on Saturday afternoon. You don’t want to miss this mind bending show.
-Flying Fox & the Hunter Gatherers flyingfoxandthehuntergatherers.com Manitoba
-The Empty Standards www.emptystandards.com Manitoba
-Nathan www.nathanmusic.ca Manitoba
-Good for Grapes www.supernova.com/goodforgrapes Vancouver, British Columbia
- Pistol George Warren pistolgeorgewarren.bandcamp.com Sudbury, Ontario
- Shred Kelly www.shredkelly.com Fernie, British Columbia
- Sweet Alibi www.sweetalibi.com Manitoba
- The F-Holes www.thefholes.ca Manitoba
- The Dastardly Daltons, La du Bonnet, Manitoba
I can also tell you that we are opening the gates at 6 pm Friday the 3rd, and that we are going to feature more artists and artisans than you can properly take in in a weekend. So please be patient, and we’ll have this posted as soon as possible.
All Things Music: Ticketed Admission. Music area gates open 6 PM Friday evening, and 2 PM Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available at the gate, or you can take advantage of our advance ticket sale and get weekend passes online or at “Whar’s on Second”, Second Street, Lac du Bonnet.
Stages are separate from, yet adjacent to the Artisan Square area, and do require paid admission. Once in the stage area, please feel free to come and go and enjoy all parts of the festival at your leisure.
This year we will be featuring five stages, and over 60 shows. Just so you know, we are not just another Folk Festival. Choosing to ignore genre boundaries, we feature a diverse range of performers which we feel reflect what it sounds like to be raised a Manitoban. Let’s face it, we pretty much all grew up listening to, and appreciating a very rich range of music and art. And really, what should it matter how you define a persons art, when all that really matters is how good and passionate they are at what they do.
Schedule details to follow. Please be patient.
